Guaranteed and Viable
For a curriculum to become the elusive ‘Guaranteed and Viable’ that is not only sought after but expected, it needs to be understood, communicated, agreed upon and ultimately used consistently. This cannot be achieved quickly or superficially, but rather the school needs to ensure their curriculum is written and audited, and then strategies can be implemented for staff to use the curriculum and reflect upon its effectiveness. This process is multi-levelled between the leadership team and the teachers and the balance needs to be respected. Flexibility and understanding between the different Learning Areas also needs to be acknowledged and taken into consideration.
I can help brainstorm, design and facilitate this process between staff as well as independently reflect upon areas of concern and key areas for future professional development within the teaching faculty.
