Providing and Tracking Student Feedback
All staff provide feedback to students, but how effective is this feedback? Are teachers working hard with little benefit to students? Are students only interested in the ‘score’ or ‘mark’ rather than the comments? Are you moving towards continuous feedback and need to ensure it works effectively, for the staff and the students? This workshop will look at the different types of feedback a teacher can offer in any subject area, explore the most effective ways to provide and track feedback to build quality student learning and data.
This workshop can function well with a follow up student workshop on how to interpret feedback offered such as the Understanding feedback: Understanding your own writing strengths and weaknesses workshop.
This session will support a school looking to implement a new feedback model and provide an effective way to introduce this to students to maximise its effect.
